Jill Salkin
Jill Salkin has been entertaining in many senior residences in the tri-state area for the past 6 years. Her lovely voice, warm personality, and engaging patter bring a lot of enjoyment to her audiences. Jill has received many accolades about her repertoire, which includes songs from the Great American Songbook, pop from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Broadway, and movie themes.
Before Jill became a performer in senior entertainment, she sang in clubs in Philadelphia, New York City, and Wilmington, DE. She moved to Atlantic City in the ‘80s to sing in casino lounges, and also performed with headliners, singing background vocals.
Jill has recorded three CDs, and has gotten airplay on radio stations in the U.S. and on the Internet. She can also be heard on Pandora Radio. Jill is a songwriter, and has included her original music on her CDs. She continues to do concerts and perform in a variety of venues.

Songs from Movie Musicals Another specialty performance from Jill Salkin features well-loved songs from movie musicals that were made into movies. As with her other specialty shows, Jill provides interesting background information about the songs and performers.
Some of the musicals represented are: “Funny Girl,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I,” “Singing in the Rain,” “My Fair Lady,” “The Sound of Music,” “West Side Story,” “Cabaret,” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
The Songs of Richard Rogers features the songs of Richard Rodgers, from his collaborations with Lorenz Hart, and later, with Oscar Hammerstein. Her presentation includes some little-known background information, and includes Rodgers and Hart songs, such as I Could Write a Book, My Funny Valentine, My Heart Stood Still, Where or When, and I Didn’t Know What Time it Was.
Some of the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein featured in her performance are, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Carousel, The King and I, and Cinderella.
